🎨 My role:

Analyzed prototypes to identify issues, then developed a new interface concept and UX patterns to enhance clarity and efficiency.

⚠️ Challenge:

A raw and overloaded interface with no clear navigation or hierarchy, resulting in high cognitive load for users.

📈 Result:

A transparent structure with scenario-based UX, a stronger focus on core content, and improved overall usability.

🔑 Key Solutions:

Introduced clear headings and hierarchy, optimized the header, and redesigned notification cards and navigation for better clarity and usability.

Navigation Issues:

Navigation Issues:

Additionally, the sidebar icon resembled a shopping cart from a marketplace, making it hard to associate with the actual screen content and hindering intuitive understanding of the structure.

Notifications, charts, and tools were arranged without a clear visual order, preventing the user’s attention from focusing on what matters most. In its current state, it was unclear which element should be the key — notifications, tools, or the chart.

UX Impact:

UX Impact:

  • The interface feels “raw” and overloaded, which undermines user confidence and creates the impression of an unfinished, inconvenient product

  • Users spend more time searching for the right section.

  • Unclear navigation increases the likelihood of user errors.

I approached this page as a notifications screen, making notifications the central element and restructuring the layout around this function.

Clear Screen Identification:

Clear Screen Identification:

Added an H1 heading “Notifications,” immediately clarifying to the user which screen they are on.

Content Hierarchy:

Content Hierarchy:

Assigned lower-level headings to secondary elements, helping structure the content and establish a clear visual hierarchy.

The user now clearly sees that notifications are the primary focus, while additional blocks (tools, charts) are secondary.

Header Optimization:

Header Optimization:

Moved the wallet (balance) into the header as a functional component:

Moved the wallet (balance) into the header as a functional component:

  • Balance is always in sight.

  • No need to switch to the left bar.

Notification Card States:

Notification Card States:

Active states (new/unread) and passive states (read) make it easy to distinguish important updates from secondary ones. This reduces cognitive load, as users no longer need to “read into” each notification to understand its status.

Introduced extended features such as filtering and grouping notifications, quick actions directly from cards, and flexible settings to tailor the notification experience to user needs.

👤 User Value:

Predictable UI capabilities minimize errors and confusion. A clear and structured interface builds trust and a sense of product maturity. Flexible filtering and notification settings give users a sense of ownership.

📈 Product Value:

Focused core features drive deeper usage and customer lifetime value, while a polished UI builds trust. Reusable UX patterns scale across modules, speeding delivery and lowering costs.
